His comparison with what he saw before is interesting. It reminded me of when I first saw the consequences of the russian shelling in 2014 in the east. At the time, it was a shock for me and changed my attitude to many things. But the point of view of a tourist will always be the point of view of a tourist. A foreign passport and the temporary nature of his stay allow him to simply not notice many things that actually make up the lives of local residents. Nevertheless, one cannot help but notice the expressions on the faces of ordinary Ukrainians and those who remained in this unfortunate country. For contrast, he should have gone to the western regions.

This year, for the first time in a decade, Orthodox and Catholics celebrate Easter on the same day. Easter is dedicated to the miraculous resurrection of Jesus after his execution on the cross. This holiday is considered the most important and joyful in the church calendar. Christians of all denominations gather with their families to celebrate the holiday. Unfortunately, millions of Ukrainians will not be able to do this again this year.

The good news is that 277 Ukrainian soldiers have been released from russian captivity. No one knows how many thousands or tens of thousands are still in captivity. https://www.radiosvoboda.org/a/news-zvilnennia-277-ukrainskyh-polonenyh/33390166.html

Last month the Trump administration proposed the idea of a 30-day comprehensive ceasefire. Ukraine agreed. russia did not. Or rather, it came up with a long list of conditions. Instead of 30 days, the Kremlin decided on 30 hours. On Saturday, President Vladimir putin announced a unilateral Easter truce in Ukraine until midnight Sunday night in Moscow. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy70vj2eejzo

I don't know if anyone in Ukraine believed it or if it was said solely for Trump as proof of agreement to cooperate with him, but there were no major air strikes that night. Fighting on the front continued as usual.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused russia of creating an "impression" of a ceasefire while still taking military actions in some places in Ukraine. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c787v5gxny7o

According to the Vugledar tactical group, the captured russians reported that the russian command had given the occupiers the task of reaching the administrative border between the Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions by May 9. https://www.slovoidilo.ua/2025/04/19/novyna/bezpeka/rosiyanam-nakazaly-9-travnya-vyjty-dnipropetrovskoyi-oblasti-vijskovi

The sun is shining outside and the weather is great, people around are celebrating the holiday with their families, but I don't feel like a part of it all.

On the night of April 21, the russian military attacked regions of Ukraine with 96 drones and three missiles of various types, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. It was possible to shoot down 42 Shahed drones and other types in the north, south, east and center of the country. Another 47 enemy drones-simulators disappeared from radar (lost in location), without causing any negative consequences. https://t.me/kpszsu/32912

On the eve of Easter, russian President Vladimir putin said he had ordered a "cease of all hostilities" from 6:00 p.m. on April 19 to 12:00 a.m. on April 21.

The President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, expressed hope that the aggressor country russia and Ukraine "will conclude an agreement this week" and "start doing business with the United States." He wrote about this on his Truth Social social network.

"Hopefully russia and Ukraine will make a deal this week. Both will then start to do big business with the United States of America, which is thriving and make a fortune," Trump wrote. https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114372126396548824

Ukraine is under pressure to respond this week to a series of far-reaching Trump administration ideas for how to end the war in Ukraine by granting concessions to russia, including potential U.S. recognition of russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea and excluding Kyiv from joining NATO. https://www.wsj.com/world/europe/kyiv-is-on-the-clock-to-respond-to-trump-plan-to-end-ukraine-conflict-f3538799

The Kharkiv District Court found a man guilty of providing information about the positions of his unit to the russian military after mobilization. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

The man tried to illegally leave Ukraine across the border with Moldova six times between January and April 2024. However, he was detained by border guards each time.

After the last escape attempt, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In court, he said that he met a russian military man on the Internet who promised to help him go abroad if he performed certain tasks. The man provided the russians with information about the locations of his unit, equipment, and personal data of servicemen.

In August 2024, he sent nine voice messages to the enemy, informing about the location of military units, ammunition, and equipment, as well as violations in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He sent the last message while receiving treatment in Kharkiv. https://internetua.com/csolovik-shist-raziv-tikav-za-kordon-a-pislya-mobilizaciyi-zdavav-poziciyi-zsu-vorogu-sxo-virishiv-sud?utm_source=ukrnet_news

I wonder what the benefit is to the state from such a policy of mobilizing those who do not want to serve? It is obvious that at best they will run away, and at worst they will do harm like this man. And now the state will spend taxpayers' money on him for another 15 years.

Hi Braden!

Actually George didn't say anything new or definitive.

Ukraine and its European allies will be meeting with top U.S. officials in London on Wednesday to discuss the proposals, which may not sit well with Kyiv. U.S. proposes recognizing Crimea as russian and freeze the war’s front lines as part of a peace agreement as peace talks ramp up, writes The Washington Post. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2025/04/22/ukraine-russia-rubio-london-crimea-peace-deal/

russian President Vladimir putin has appeared open to bilateral talks with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. Speaking on russian state television on Monday night, April 21, putin said that russia has “always been positive about any peace initiatives. We hope that the representatives of the Kyiv regime will be the same.”

According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, putin’s comments indicate a willingness to hold direct talks with Ukraine, including on not striking civilian targets.

Zelensky did not respond directly to putin’s comments, but said the country was “ready for any conversation” that would guarantee the safety of civilians.

Meanwhile, the night in Ukraine was not calm - Odesa experienced a major attack by russian drones. According to the city authorities, three people were injured, fires broke out, as a result, houses, an educational institution, and cars were damaged.

As of nine in the morning, the Ukrainian Air Force reported that 38 drones had been shot down across the country. And on the morning of April 22, an attack on Zaporizhia claimed the life of one person, local authorities report. In total, more than twenty victims are currently known, including four children.
https://www.bbc.com/ukrainian/articles/czrv42x5yjyo

In russia, in the Vladimir region, explosions were heard at the 51st GRAU arsenal on April 22. Locals report a fireball and a column of smoke. The 51st GRAU arsenal is one of the largest ammunition depots of the russian Ministry of Defense. According to preliminary data, approximately 105 thousand tons of ammunition are stored there: artillery shells, missiles for MLRS, air defense system components, tactical missiles of the "Tochka-U" type. The distance from the extreme point of the border of Ukraine and russia to the arsenal is more than 500 kilometers. https://www.rbc.ua/rus/news/rosiyi-vibuhnuv-odin-naybilshih-skladiv-boepripasiv-1745331352.html

The deputies propose not to consider the loss of personnel and the temporary loss of certain territories of the state a crime under certain conditions. Thus, it will be difficult to hold the commanders who allowed this to happen accountable. This is a very ambiguous initiative before the possible signing of an agreement with russia, as a result of which Ukraine may lose significant territories. https://sud.ua/uk/news/publication/329021-poteryu-lichnogo-sostava-i-vremennuyu-utratu-otdelnykh-territoriy-gosudarstva-deputaty-predlagayut-ne-schitat-prestupleniem-pri-opredelennykh-usloviyakh

After a lull at Easter, man hunters became active again...

I recently heard that some businesses are forced to pay about $1,000 per month per person in corruption schemes so that their employees are reserved from mobilization. You can imagine how much money would work for the economy of Ukraine, and not go into the pockets of corrupt officials...

They say that the percentage of shadow wages in Ukraine increased after the military levy was increased. https://finance.novyny.live/v-ukrayini-zrosli-tinovi-zarplati-ekonomist-nazvav-prichinu-248832.html

Hi Wlad. I'm sure that what George said is probably well known to people in Ukraine, since their focus is primarily news related to Ukraine. For people in the US, where news related to Ukraine is now page three or four in the newspapers (online, these days), we typically don't get exposure to this detailed information unless we go looking for it. I think that probably explains the difference in perspective as to how much value he adds. Hope all is going well with you.

Braden, thank you! You reminded me that even in Ukraine, a fairly small number of people are trying to understand what is happening without limiting themselves to propaganda or social media as a source not even of information, but of opinion.

The pace of diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine is quickening. In recent days, there have been various leaks about the latest US ideas, the status and veracity of which is disputed among diplomats.

But there seems to be a framework along the following lines: russia would halt its invasion along current lines, and would give up its ambition to control the remaining parts of the four regions of eastern Ukraine it has yet to occupy, namely Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson. In return, the US would accept the four occupied territories de facto as russian controlled.

It would also recognise Crimea – which was annexed illegally by russia in 2014 – as de jure russian territory. The US would also ensure Ukraine ruled out joining Nato.

President Zelensky has already made it clear Ukraine would never concede that Crimea is russian sovereignty.
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c70znjwezd4o

US Vice-President JD Vance said his country would "walk away" unless Ukraine and russia agree on a deal, echoing recent comments from US officials.

His warning came after London talks between officials from the UK, France, Germany, Ukraine and the US aimed at securing a ceasefire were downgraded after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff pulled out.

The US is focused on talks this week in Moscow, where Witkoff will meet russian President Vladimir putin for the fourth time, as the pace of diplomacy to end the war quickens.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, meanwhile, said he insisted on "an immediate, full, and unconditional ceasefire". https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c78jx68d922o

In the context of reduced funding and weapons supplies, if we drag out a little longer, there will be not 4, but 6 regions on the table.

With funding and arms supplies dwindling, if we drag it out a little longer, there will be 6 regions on the table instead of 4. But it now reminds me of the Shanghai Communiqué of 1972, when the US finally reversed its position, recognized the communist regime in China, and agreed to cooperate with it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_Communiqu%C3%A9

Therefore, now the US can agree on cooperation with russia and decide the fate of Ukraine without Ukraine. Zelensky can deny reality and indulge in wishful thinking as much as he wants, but this will only make the situation worse.

P.S.

Wlad, I'm sure it's very frustrating to Ukrainians to think of the "major powers" deciding Ukraine's borders and future. But as you imply (and I said a couple of years ago during one of the stalemate periods), those who are supplying the arms will be the ones who decide when the war stops. There really is no way to avoid that, in my opinion.
At this point I believe Zelensky is a stumbling block to peace, as he seems to offer nothing other than resolve (to put it less positively, stubbornness). His lack of experience in negotiations seems quite apparent. I don't know to what degree other motives such as corruption may be influencing his stubbornness.
I read today where Russia has run an enormous budget deficit, much more than expected, due to the low price of oil and other factors. So I do think Russia has some reason to settle for four territories.
Continuing to pray for the killing to stop!

Actually, I don't think the problem is Zelensky. When management leads a company to bankruptcy, it is the owner's responsibility to change management in time. If the owner doesn't react, he loses the company. And management goes to another company with pockets full of money. Especially when he acts in concert with competitors.

While Zelensky was quite far from Ukraine https://www.reuters.com/world/ukraines-zelenskiy-lands-south-africa-talks-ties-peace-efforts-2025-04-24/ (by the way, South Africa is one of the few countries that has a visa-free regime with russia), russia launched one of the largest missile strikes on Kyiv in the last year.

Moscow sent 70 missiles and 145 drones toward Ukraine, mainly targeting Kyiv, tonight. At least 12 people died in the strikes with 90 injured, according to Ukraine’s emergency services, and more casualties may be trapped under rubble. The emergency services said Moscow’s assault struck 13 locations in Kyiv, including residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. https://edition.cnn.com/2025/04/24/europe/russia-strikes-kyiv-trump-zelensky-crimea-intl-hnk/index.html

“I am not happy with the russian strikes on KYIV. Not necessary, and very bad timing. Vladimir, STOP! 5000 soldiers a week are dying. Let’s get the Peace Deal DONE!” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Thursday.

I don't know which Vladimir Trump was referring to, but they're not going to stop.

Although many missiles and drones were shot down literally above my head, their remains did not fall on my house. A short prayer of thanksgiving and I slept for a couple of hours before waking up for the first meeting. Today I felt bad and stayed home. But there was so much work that I sent the last letter only at 9 pm. On the other hand, it was distracting as always. While some people destroy their psyche on social networks and then spend money on psychologists, I earn money by spending time on more useful things and save on psychologists.

Ah, yes, the Art of the Deal.  Amusing reading for Xi, especially now that China stated there are no tariff negotiations taking place directly contradicting assertions by Trump, who has already unilaterally declared that tariffs on China will be lowered after hearing dire predictions from American business CEOs.

“Never interrupt an enemy when he is in the process of destroying himself”. (Attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte)

Speaking of deals, Trump was asked by a reporter what concessions Russia is giving in the peace negotiations. Answer:

“Stopping the war, stopping from taking the whole country, pretty big concession.”

The owners of the company are Ukrainian voters. But they haven't been allowed to have a board meeting lately.
I disagree, they chose their own management in 2019.

Unfortunately, I've been so busy at work lately that I barely have time to follow how intensively the fate of Ukraine is being decided this week.

Speaking to reporters before flying to Rome for the funeral of Pope Francis, Trump says the US and russia are close to reaching a deal, while special envoy Steve Witkoff meets Vladimir putin in Moscow. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cvg7jnywn5dt?post=asset%3A0b638eb3-7dee-42a1-b245-4445d2384567#post

The meeting between Putin and Witkoff lasted three hours and was constructive - says Putin aide Yuri Ushakov, who attended the meeting. Among other issues, they discussed the possibility of direct talks between russia and Ukraine, he says. The talks have brought russia's and US positions closer not just on Ukraine but other issues as well, Ukashov says, adding that productive dialogue between russia and the US will continue on various levels. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cvg7jnywn5dt?post=asset%3A9993e106-1ef8-444e-9710-74c584c422bd#post

Multiple russian sources say General Yaroslav Moskalik, deputy head of the main operational department at the russian General Staff, has been killed in a car bomb attack in Moscow. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cvg7jnywn5dt?post=asset%3Abaa220c2-a788-46e5-aef1-f89154271d8e#post
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has blamed Ukraine for this. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cvg7jnywn5dt?post=asset%3A898f7ede-8094-42fd-ae28-e7eafe5eac17#post

Earlier, US President Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky's statements that Ukraine would not recognize the annexation of Crimea.
"No one is asking Zelensky to recognize Crimea as russian territory, but if he wants Crimea, why wasn't it fought for 11 years ago when it was handed over to the russian Federation without a single shot being fired?" Donald Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social. https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114388111141848447

Ukrainian President Zelensky says Crimea belongs to Ukraine, following comments from US President Trump who said "Crimea will stay with russia", in an interview with Time.

"Our position is unchanged: only the Ukrainian people have the right to decide which territories are Ukrainian," Zelensky tells reporters in Kyiv. "The constitution of Ukraine says that all the temporarily occupied territories... belong to Ukraine, to the Ukrainian people."

The mayor of Ukraine's capital Kyiv says the country might have to give up some of its territory, albeit temporarily, in order to secure a peace agreement with Moscow. "One of the scenarios is to give up territory," he tells BBC Radio 4's Anna Foster. "It's not fair. But for the peace, temporary peace, maybe it can be a solution." https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp348ygjgy3o

Later he seeks to 'clarify' earlier remarks on conceding territory. "It is very regrettable that, as we can see, this scenario is quite possible. A lot of world politicians and media are talking about it today," Vitali Klitschko says on Telegram. "In the interview, I stressed that the Ukrainian people will not accept russian occupation of their country." He says territorial concessions contradict Ukraine's national interests, and Ukraine must fight against them "until the very end". Klitschko says this will require "extraordinary efforts" from Ukraine and European partners, but doesn't mention the US. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cvg7jnywn5dt?post=asset%3A0e0ae979-10aa-48af-8b57-d5ab22ab355e#post

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that US President Donald Trump is a leader in the issue of peace talks between Ukraine and russia and it is thanks to his efforts that the "deadlock" has been overcome. Mark Rutte said this on the Fox News channel. https://x.com/rapidresponse47/status/1915747523358060798

We are witnessing something that seemed impossible just a few months ago, and it is not directly related to hostilities. The US and russia have become partners and are directly negotiating, and top Ukrainian politicians are already agreeing on almost everything, prudently shifting responsibility to the people. And only Europe seems not to be going to take the initiative and continues to follow the USA.

Today I woke up because of the noise and for some reason I thought that the neighbors were continuing to do repairs. But since today is Saturday I decided to sleep a little longer. When I finally woke up, it turned out that it was an air raid and the work of the air defense.

I decided to listen to the radio and heard a Japanese station. Then I made the QSO with it, then with the Chinese one and the cherry on the cake - the Australian answered me. This lifted my spirits and I was even more pleasantly surprised when a Japanese radio amateur joined our usual communication in Zoom with Colin and two other guys from Ukraine. Two and a half hours flew by unnoticed and I hope we will see him again. The great power of radio brings together completely different people from different countries and cultures, and life is not enough to discuss everything that interests us. Provided that you speak at least one common language, of course.

Since visiting Japan has been a long-standing dream of my daughter and I, I shared my impressions of the meeting with her. She started learning Spanish and recently asked her teacher how many languages she knew. Four, including Polish, the teacher replied. Katya said that she also knew four languages, including Polish.

After lunch, I took part in the UK-EI DX Contest, as its organizers are one of the few who do not accept russians.

A grandiose show was made of the Pope's Francis funeral, but many famous people used it as an occasion for a meeting. It was the first face-to-face encounter between Trump and Zelensky since a disastrous White House meeting in February, when the president and other US officials publicly berated Zelensky for being insufficiently grateful for US support and briefly suspended arms shipments and intelligence sharing. US President Donald Trump questioned whether russian President Vladimir putin wants a peace deal shortly after meeting with Zelensky.

In a Truth Social post sent as he returned from Rome after the meeting, Trump raised the prospect of applying new sanctions on russia after its assault on Kyiv last week, questioning whether putin is interested in peace.

“There was no reason for putin to be shooting missiles into civilian areas, cities and towns, over the last few days,” Trump wrote. “It makes me think that maybe he doesn’t want to stop the war, he’s just tapping me along, and has to be dealt with differently, through ‘Banking’ or ‘Secondary Sanctions?’ Too many people are dying!!!” https://edition.cnn.com/2025/04/26/europe/zelensky-trump-talks-pope-funeral-intl/index.html

Just before US President Donald Trump has said russia and Ukraine "are very close to a deal", hours after his envoy Steve Witkoff and Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in Moscow.

Trump said it had been a "good day" of negotiations, while the Kremlin described the talks - which Ukraine was not present at - as "constructive".

Earlier, Trump said on social media that "most of the major points are agreed to," and urged russia and Ukraine to meet "at very high levels" and "to finish it [the deal] off". https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c9dj4402qejo

Trump seems to be trying to hide his true intentions with chaos, and Zelensky is constantly trying to anger him, blaming the US for one thing and then another.

In an interview with American journalist Ben Shapiro, Zelensky said, "If putin wins, it will mean the defeat of the United States as a country that leads the world." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvSq2mxAPk0

"President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the missile fired by russia over Kyiv on the night of April 24, which hit a residential building, killing 12 people, was manufactured in North Korea. The missile that killed the people of Kyiv contained at least 116 components imported from other countries, and most of them, unfortunately, were manufactured by American companies," Zelensky wrote in a telegram. https://www.radiosvoboda.org/a/news-udar-rf-kyiv-raketa-kndr/33396841.html

It would be funny if the fate of my country didn't depend on it.

Ukraine has failed to reach an agreement with investors to restructure its debt under GDP warrants with a group of creditors, including hedge funds Aurelius Capital Management LP and VR Capital Group. The debt is worth $2.6 billion, the FT writes, citing a statement from the Ukrainian government on the Euronext exchange. The FT noted that Kyiv is due to make a payment of about $600 million next month. https://www.ft.com/content/2b77e33f-1b48-445f-a6e0-cdf2e1a26d28

Ukraine has fully covered its external financing needs for 2025 and is ready for various economic challenges. This was largely made possible by budget support from Ukraine's partners, which this year amounts to $16.8 billion. Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko announced this at a meeting of the G7 financial bloc, which took place in Washington during the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. www.obozrevatel.com/ukr/ekonomika-glavnaya/analytics-and-forecasts/ukraina-povnistyu-zakrila-potrebu-u-finansuvanni-zzovni-v-uryadi-poyasnili-de-vzyali-groshi.htm

Most likely, this does not apply to military spending, but the reduction in aid by almost half indicates a decrease in funding for the social sphere and the state apparatus (probably all except the power bloc). Now the poor can start begging, and civil servants can collect donations for their services. For example, you have to go to court with your own paper and envelopes, despite the court fee paid.

But the new economic outlook for Ukraine, presented by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is based on the assumption that the war will end by the end of 2025. This is stated in the April World Economic Outlook report.

The document states that as a result of the end of hostilities, a partial return of Ukrainian refugees to their homeland is expected, which will contribute to population growth.

In addition, the IMF expects a gradual decrease in the unemployment rate in Ukraine as a result of the end of the war. The report also predicts a significant increase in Ukraine's gross domestic product. In 2025, GDP could exceed $200 billion, and in 2030 - approach $284 billion.

www.imf.org/en/Publications/WEO/Issues/2025/04/22/world-economic-outlook-april-2025

France has recognized the 2018 decision of the Arbitration Tribunal on the claim of JSC Oschadbank against the russian Federation for over $1.11 billion, which concerned compensation for losses resulting from russia's illegal expropriation of Oschadbank's assets in Crimea following russia's illegal invasion and occupation of that sovereign territory of Ukraine. Oschadbank registered an arrest of russian assets in France worth around €87 million. https://trueua.info/news/ukrayinskyy-bank-domihsya-areshtu-u-frantsiyi-rosiyskykh-aktyviv-na-sumu-87-mln-yevro

russia launched about 100 drones into Ukraine last night. A child was killed in a drone attack in northern Dnipropetrovsk region, and a recreation center was damaged in Kyiv.

The russian military reported shooting down 40 Ukrainian drones. https://www.bbc.com/ukrainian/articles/c3v9y0wy1l6o

Again, I heard nothing.

russian President Vladimir putin has announced a temporary ceasefire for the war in Ukraine. The Kremlin said the ceasefire would run from the morning of 8 May until 11 May - which coincides with victory celebrations to mark the end of World War Two. In a statement on Monday, the Kremlin said putin declared the ceasefire "based on humanitarian considerations". https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c62j1848509o

In response, the Ukrainians and Americans suggested not to wait and stop the war now. Of course, it's ridiculous to first attack another country, destroy it, and kill a lot of people, and then declare a ceasefire for humanitarian reasons. But this proves once again that there is no point in talking to the russians. They only understand force.

russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that putin's proposal for a "truce" on May 8-10 is supposedly "the start of direct negotiations with Ukraine without preconditions." https://sud.ua/uk/news/ukraine/329691-lavrov-nazval-predlozhenie-putina-o-peremirii-nachalom-pryamykh-peregovorov

Meanwhile, the russians are building serious fortifications in the east, which suggests certain thoughts. Perhaps they have information about a possible offensive by the Ukrainian army, which could really gather large reserves. But this reminds me of the situation with the unsuccessful counteroffensive in 2023, when similar fortifications built by the russians in the south stopped and inflicted heavy losses on the Ukrainians. Or perhaps they are really preparing to stop and switch to a deaf defense, fixing the front line.

An extraordinary event occurred in Europe - the power grids of Spain and Portugal, and partially the connected networks of France, were completely turned off. These countries and their inhabitants were not prepared for this and there is still no clear answer as to what actually caused this. Try to convince me that the russians had nothing to do with this.

The Ukrainian authorities continue to persecute the opposition. After Zelensky imposed sanctions on former President Poroshenko, the National Bank of Ukraine on April 28 recognized the business reputation of the fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, as not impeccable. This could harm the bank he owns. https://www.bbc.com/ukrainian/articles/c4g2ynjz885o

Personally, I wonder why Poroshenko keeps fighting. With his money and at his age, I would have long forgotten about politics and vacationed abroad at resorts with my grandchildren.
